Desc: For this high-speed shoot, Machine Shop filled a 4' water tank with a special mixture of fluids to create a thin layer of coloured fluid suspended over a transparent liquid substrate. A rig was then created to drop the product, a new Smirnoff canned drink, into the tank at a controlled angle and velocity. When the can hit the surface of the fluid layers 'cracked' mixing to create a magnificent colour burst effect. The commercial was shot on a Phantom HD at high speed and benifitted from pre-visualisation using the Machine Shop in house high-speed camera.
