Electrolux - Going Home

The commercial, directed by 76’s Yann Secouet, aims to solve the mystery of ‘where all those odd socks that vanish in the washing go to’.

In a commercial that literally stars socks, Machine Shop had to work very hard to evoke the appropriate level of fantasy and romance. The decision was to go with pupeteering live-action socks as opposed to a CG socks in order to try and maintain some of the natural motion that occurs when moving a very light weight real life object freely in air. The commercial was filmed on location in Portugal.
