CNC Equipment

As part of our continuing mission for innovation, Machine Shop recently upgraded and automated our production workflow with two new machines - a portable 3D scanner and 3-axis CNC milling machine.

The NextEngine Desktop 3D Scanner is a fully portable object scanner that is able to scan a real-life object and convert its spatial form into a dimensionally accurate, virtual replica. This model can then be used in animation or as the basis for the reproduction of solid replicas when used in conjunction with a number of rapid prototyping or CNC milling/routing systems (see more).

The Tormach 1100 CNC router uses data from model files and drawings produced on the in-house computer system to create three-dimensional profiled parts with consistent accuracy and repeatability.
