Wells Cathedral
In the summer of 2008 Machine Shop built interactive exhibits for Wells Cathedral. The first exhibit was a timeline of the cathedral’s history containing electronics designed and built in-house that enable the user to scroll through and light up the timeline with a rotary dial. The dial features a graphic painstakingly reconstructed from a digital photo of an original calendar clock face from the cathedral.
The second exhibit educates visitors of the geological composition of the surrounding area featuring pull out drawers that reveal the mineral content of the local landscape.
