Terrible Trenches!
 
In early 2009 Machine Shop was commissioned to create ultra-realistic replica models of the food that might typically be eaten by soldiers in trenches on the front lines of WW2.

In addition to extreme realism, the food models had also to be robust enough to be handled freely by visitors. The featured replicas are an amalgamation of ‘cured’ moulded food copies and real items that have been effected in such a way as to look like well used antiques.
