Rachel Whiteread Chess Set

The chess sets designed by Rachel Whiteread were reproduced from her favourite doll's house pieces. Faithful reproduction of each set dictated that Machine Shop carry out four thousand processes per set in a limited edition production run of ten sets!

In a game of chess on a Rachel Whiteread board the bedroom furniture takes on the kitchen. Each of the pieces were reproduced my Machine Shop in such accurate detail that the artist herself could not tell the difference between the reproduction models and the originals, even their weight was accurate!
